Movie making

Last Thursday our whole school went down to the regent theatre to watch the Mawhera movie making. Our class entered but we didn't get a place. So it did not get shown on the screen at the regent theatre. I think one thing we could of done better next time was base the movie around one subject. My favourite movie was the first one made by some girls at Paroa school heres our link to our movie that our class made.

Miss spicks

WALT: Create a persuasive poster that describes one of the worlds worst teachers. I choose miss Spicks because she is evil. I liked the book and I really enjoyed the poster. Here's some facts about miss Spicks. 

Holes similarities and differences

This term as a class we have been reading a book called holes by Louis satcher. Every week we would do a programme called chapter chat around the book holes. We would have 10 activities and we had to complete 3 must do's and 1 can do. And if we completed them we would get free time on a friday but if we did not than we wouldn't. Also on a Friday we would post our work on twitter. When we finished the book holes we got to watch the movie there was alot of differences and similarities. Here is some of them. 

2019 PrEP Book

Every year our whole school does prep. Prep is when classes or groups make things  out of recyclable products then we sell them and make money at big market and little market. We also have to fill out paper work and do prep books heres ours.

This weeks chapter chat task was vocabulary we had to find the meaning of the words we were given and then we had to make them in to sentences so that we understood the words heres mine.

Speeches Would you like to just not do a speech. Well in my opinion i think that we should choose if we do a speech or not or we should just not do one. In my opinion i think that we should just not do one because the parents do all the work. Also it's not fun doing a speech so why do speeches when kids don't like doing them. Another reason is kids get nervous when they stand in front of the class. And to me it doesn't help anybody with their learning. So that's why I think we should not do a speech

I like that you persuasive writing you are doing it on speeches and you can pick what one you wanted to do like if you want to do it or not. Next time maybe you could write longer sentences. By mackenzie

how long

For this activity we had to get in groups, and then 1 member had to jump as far as they could,and we would try and guess how many cm they jumped.After that we would measure how far they jumped. Once we jumped 1.94!

I really enjoyed this activity.

Power station hill On Tuesday  the 21st of may 2019 we went Up to the power station hill with cosmin To see the substation i learnt that Electricity is very dangerous and that Birds don't get electrocuted when they Sit on power lines and we looked Around the substation it was really big We went around the back of the Substation we weren't aloud to go Inside of the substation cause it Was really dangerous.
